2016 Awards Sponsors
Value of Advice Article of the Year: Important decisions need expert advice.
At 1825 that’s one of our core beliefs and is the reason we’re proud to sponsor the Value of Advice Article of the Year award.
People rely on getting the right advice at the right time, tailored to their needs; and that’s why we exist. We focus on creating a financial plan for life, based on what individuals want for themselves and those they care about. As part of the Standard Life group, which has been around since 1825, we’ve got the longevity to support people throughout their lives, backed by professionals with a wide range of experience.
It’s never too soon to plan your future. Through financial planning, you’ll achieve a better understanding of your financial situation, and be ready to take financial opportunities as they arise. That’s the value of advice.
Financial Adviser of the Year: The Association of Investment Companies (AIC) are proud to sponsor the Financial Adviser of the year award. The implementation of RDR in January 2013 presented a long-term opportunity for the investment company sector, and since then the AIC has been working to maximise this opportunity. We’re running seminars, online and bespoke training on investment companies for advisers. We have developed a dedicated adviser centre on our website to host investment company data, news and an online newsletter, Spotlight.
The AIC was founded in 1932 to represent the interests of the investment trust industry – the oldest form of collective investment. Today, the AIC represents a broad range of closed ended investment companies, incorporating investment trusts and other closed ended investment companies and VCTs. The AIC’s members believe that the industry is best served if it is united and speaks with one voice.
