Games fever

The Games are finally here, with a dazzling opening ceremony, no doubt helped along by everyone's new favourite Bond girl - the Queen.  Amidst the headline grabbing spectacle the focus of the ceremony was one of British history, identity and community with the ultimate aim of "inspiring a generation".

The Games message of inspiration looks to encourage participation in sport whilst unbiased.co.uk and Standard Life are inspiring this generation to plan for their financial future with the 'Value of Advice' campaign.  We continue to receive fantastic coverage in the press, with a comprehensive article in the Mail on Sunday, and a great piece in the Financial Adviser.

No high scores for mortgage lending

Mortgage lending has seen its biggest decline in 18 months, and first time buyers are still struggling to get on to the property ladder.  But with house prices now falling and rates fluctuating, the demand for mortgage advice is likely to rise, which is no doubt a great opportunity for IFAs and mortgage brokers.  Make sure you're ready by updating your unbiased.co.uk profile.  Reach out to your existing client contacts with mortgage news and keep your website up to date with your mortgage offerings.  For more inspiration on how to keep your clients up to date click here.

Honister Capital

We are pleased to see so many of those who were affected by the Honister authorisation issues have re-registered with us.  If you were affected, make sure you let us know your new FSA number so we can get you up and running on the consumer directory again.

Kind regards,

The unbiased.co.uk team
